Ruben Risholm
Untitled (Fused Landscape), 2020
This work was made in the process of making another, bigger work, as a kind of prototype. This context helped the work to become more playful and experimental, and by this gave it a certain expression that makes it stand on it’s own in relation to the bigger project as well. My relation to making landscape works are one of nostalgia - an investigation in how memories become distorted and are merging with each other. Another important part of my works is the relation of the ceramic material transformations to the constant, slow geological changes in the landscape.
