Tales of Escape, 2020
In my artwork I have the child's play as a guide,
the uncertainty leads me to questions about myself.
Through the animals and recurring characters, I show scenes that creates stories about trying to fit in, about understanding my context and thoughts about how I should be or want
to be in the group, about freedom and my longing for it.
The struggle to try to escape to become something else,
to not have to, just function.
Escape from what has been, from what has built me,
and not get stuck.
Escape to freedom, the freedom to be one's own.
Freedom, that was so easy to get but now so
hard to find.
