Julius Göthlin
Shadow Inventory, 2012
Through time-consuming projects in form of collages, Julius Göthlin often interprets everyday scenarios in imaginary worlds that reflects environments and objects we tend to forget and take for granted.
In the exhibition at SEART Julius Göthlin have been working with issues regarding catalogizing and filtering with the apartment as a starting point.
In a big series of collages made by papers painted in different gray tones, cut out and glued together, rooms where all the interiors are removed are being pictured. Left are only the grey-scaled walls, angles and corners of the empty rooms that create a form of abstract pattern.
