Using film and sculpture, I create installations that play with the viewer’s perception, suggesting and denying conventional reading of perspective. My installations are not only a place for people to be visually engaged, but they also act as a springboard for a critical discussion on the changing nature of images in the public sphere.
Words like seduction, glossiness, and surface are important to my work and I will create objects that will deeply explore these themes. I want to create a glossy feel to the sculptures. I want them to drip with a sheen and gorgeousness by creating elegant shapes, precise and clean surfaces. I want to make people feel like they want to taste and eat them.
My work is about formal aspects of superficiality and the corporate language that we are familiar with. Not only with advertisement and branding but also in terms of filmic references and conditions. I know how to create imagery that can capture attention and I am able to feed off associations that people have with the corporate and the sublime.
