Stockholm, 3-27 September: For the ninth consecutive year, SEART is showing the highlights from the emerging art scene. The selected artists show their works in different media with striking, thought-provoking outcomes. SEART 2020 will open with a group exhibition at No Picnic studio in Östermalm (3rd September) and will be followed by a site specific exhibition taking place the following day, (4th September) at the charming 18th century belvedere in Spökparken right in the middle of the city.
-This year we carefully considered whether we should arrange SEART or not due to
COVID-19. But after understanding the situation for artists with canceled exhibitions and examinations, it felt much more important than ever to create a chance for them to be seen and offer the audience an opportunity to take part in what is happening on the young Swedish art scene.
SEART 2020 will present works selected from the Royal Institute of Art, Konstfack, Umeå Academy of Fine Arts, Malmö Art Academy and HDK Valand with inspiring artworks that are in continuous experimentation. Their works and the processes behind are like "diving" into the artists' minds throughout their thoughts till the final piece. The exhibition shows a variety of fields, materials, processes and ideas oscillating between two and three dimensions in topics related to nature, time, space, repetition, movement, the untouchable and more. We invite you to experience the unveiling of the future generation of great artists!
"With this exhibitions we want to showcase the best young artists. We have selected works that trigger us emotionally, and are very proud to welcome the public to experience gripping, thought-provoking and inspiring art", says Margarita Matiz Bergfeldt, one of the founders of SEART.
SEART is an international initiative, the brainchild of friends, each working in different creative fields who love art and see it as an important inspiration tool both in life and at work.
"SEART's raison d'être is to give young artists the possibility to be seen in new contexts and offer an access to today´s most fresh and interesting art to the audience", explains Margarita.
