I painted a red square until it was finished but I did not feel done. Instead of painting on a new canvas, I contiued painting on the one I had already started.
The spatial limitation in my studio allowed me to paint about 1.5 m at a time, before rolling up what I had painted and rolled out a new section, like reading a script roll. The method meant I could not see the final result until afterwards, when the canvas was rolled out in its full length in a larger room.
When the canvas ran out, I repeated this method on two new canvases that I put next to each other. In total, the work consists of three six-meter-long canvases.
