There were quite many days when I was on a trip with deep sadness and anxiety taking over my body and mind. While looking out through the car window, there was a moment,
a scene that touched my mind. The landscape of mountains, somewhat like huge waves that were flowing, comforted me with a calm and peaceful voice. It felt like someone, some being from the mountain was protecting and taking care of me.

It is those moments and emotions that I wanted to record and share. Faces of that someone are lying along the landscape. During those painful days, the process of transforming a thin thread into a large plane of form was a ritual of healing myself. I could take out the sadness and spread it out on my art piece.

Through my artwork, I hope we can have a silent dialogue, looking back on what makes us anxious and worried, and when we feel serene.
