The objects in display are one fragment of a spatial installation, in which I investigated rituals we practice and ingredients we swallow for healing and strengthening us.
The cup to move on shall hold a content to be consumed, hoping for enlightenment and the energy to find our way or continue the path we decided to go. The painting is inspired by a traditional German pattern, found on tableware in nearly everybody's Grandma's cupboards. No cup equals another.
It is important where we are going. But it is as important where we are coming from.

About the artist

Porcelain is the material I am working with and probably always will. My addiction is mainly caused by this deep fascination for a material I simultaneously do and don't understand. To me, it will always remain to be the most exciting process, resulting in outcomes from incredible delicacy.

I have a professional background in Porcelain Design, and with an increasing desire to create vessels that hold contents beyond liquids, I studied Craft Ceramics and Glass. Working in a field between art and design, science and narration--I aim to create objects that tell you stories.
